After launching presentations for Docs as a preview last October, the search giant’s making that editor ready for prime time with a few user-suggested tweaks in tow. In addition to the recently introduced slew of transitions, themes, tables and collaborative options, Mountain View’s now tossing in the ability to make, edit and resolve comments, send email notifications, as well as control read / write privileges for outside users. Here we thought the citizens of Kansas City couldn’t get any more fortunate after being chosen by Google to get a fiber optic gigabit network. Turns out, Google Fiber may be bringing more than just web access, as the company has asked the state of Missouri to allow it to deliver video services as well. We first heard about Big G’s possible foray into pay-TV late last year, as the company was in talks with various content providers to see if it could make it happen. Given this official move towards becoming a video provider in America’s heartland, we’d say those conversations must have gone fairly well. Either that, or the folks in Kansas City will be watching a whole lot of YouTube’s new niche content.

If you're a fan of the NBA and live wallpapers, you'll want to check out the NBA All-Star Live Wallpaper app, which enables you to customize your background with your favorite NBA team.

The app is what we call freemium, which means that it is free to download the initial app, but you'll have to pay up for each team you decide to download from then on. Each team's live wallpaper is $1.99 with an in-app purchase, or you could buy every team for a flat fee of $4.99. You can also purchase team ringtones, but they come with the $4.99 package.

Once the app is installed, you'll need to go to the wallpapers gallery to find the NBA options. Once you click on it, you'll be able to customize:

If you play Scrabble (or a scrabble-like game) from time to time, you may want to check out Scrabble Helper. This simple website is a godsend when you’re at a loss for words. Simply enter whatever letters you have, and the word you’d like to connect with. Scrabble helper comes up with a whole bunch of suggestions sorted by score.

The site lets you select one of five dictionaries – Scrabble International/US, Lexulous International/US, and Words With Friends. Some people might say this constitutes cheating — I think if the other side knows you’re doing it, it’s definitely not cheating. And it doesn’t take the challenge out of the game, because implementing Scrabble Helper’s suggestions and deciding which words you’d like to connect with still takes a fair bit of thought.

Very handy, though perhaps not one for the Scrabble puritans in the crowd.

As promised, the bootloader unlock tool for the ASUS Transformer Prime is now available for download from ASUS directly. It's a simple little .apk that you'll download, move to your tablet and install, and it will set in motion the ability to rock custom ROMs and basically mod to you heart's content. Note that you'll need to have the Ice Cream Sandwich update installed, but you've already done that, we hope.

There’s a new adventure video capture company in town, and both Zeyez and GoPro would have good reason to be afraid. You may not have heard of Pivothead — the company has had a remarkably quiet push to market over the last few months — but the video recording eyewear startup could very well become a household name after its first products hit the market this April for $349. Aurora, Durango, Moab and Recon may offer distinct exterior designs, but they’re virtually identical under the hood. Each model includes an eight-megapixel Sony sensor (that reportedly captures higher quality images than the iPhone 4S cam), a four-element glass lens, 8GB of built-in storage, a 440mAh battery (with about an hour of shooting time) and three video modes: 1080/30p, 720/60p and 720/30p. We had a chance to go hands-on with Pivothead earlier today, and took the glasses for a spin on the streets of New York City. Having already taken the wraps off the Optimus Vu and Optimus L-style series, LG has today taken the wraps off another rumored device — the Optimus 3D MAX. Headed to Korea in March, then Europe and elsewhere later, the Optimus 3D MAX (spelled the old-fashioned way, with just one X) takes the original Optimus 3D's hardware and makes some modest improvements, before packing it into a slimmer, lighter chassis. We're waiting on official confirmation, but it looks like this is an variant of the Optimus 3D Cube, which was announced for SK Telecom a few hours ago.

The MAX's specs will be familiar to anyone who's used last year's Optimus 3D — there's a 4.3-inch WVGA 3D  IPS display, dual 5MP rear cameras, 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of app storage and HSPA+ support up to 21Mbps. The CPU's even the same model — an TI OMAP 4430 — though it's been bumped from 1GHz up to 1.2GHz. The device ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread (yeah, we know), with an ICS upgrade coming "shortly after release". Judging by the screenshots, though, LG's rolling out a new version of its Optimus UI in this, and other 2012 devices, so at least there'll be a bit of a visual refresh.

We'll be sure to grab some hands-on time with the Optimus 3D MAX when we arrive at Mobile World Congress in a few days time. In the meantime, you can find more photos, along with the full press release and spec list after the jump.
